Two dead, six hurt as jeep plunges 70m into Deurali River in Tanahun

DAMAULI: Two individuals died and 6 others sustained accidents after the jeep they had been travelling on fell beneath the street in Rishing Rural Municipality-1 of Tanahun district on Monday.

The deceased have been recognized as driver Hom Bahadur Shrestha (25) of Myagde Rural Municipality-7 and Raj Kumar Shrestha (58) of Byas Municipality-5, each in Tanahun district.

The jeep (Ga 1 Ja 7128) ferrying passengers from Harkapur to Khalte skidded off the street close to Mastighat, and plunged about 70 metres into Deurali River this morning, in accordance with in-charge of Tanahun District Visitors Police Workplace, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Resham Bahadur Ranabhat.

DSP Yubaraj Timilsena on the District Police Workplace (DPO) stated that the rescued passengers had been rushed to totally different hospitals in Damauli for the therapy. The driving force, who was trapped in his seat, was discovered useless on the spot by rescuers, in accordance with  DSP Ranabhat.

Medical Superintendent at Damauli Hospital, Dr Sunil Poudel knowledgeable that one of many injured Raj Kumar succumbed to his accidents in course of the therapy on the hospital.

Of the six injured, some are receiving therapy at Ratnahari Hospital whereas others in Nationwide Apollo  Hospital.
