Truck plunges 100m into Lamjung's Paundi River; no casualty

LAMJUNG: A truck transporting development supplies fell beneath the highway in Sundar Bazaar of Lamjung district on Thursday morning.

In response to Paundi-based police publish, the 10-wheel truck (Ba four Kha) 1675) laden with iron rods, sacks of cement and others development supplies heading to Tinpiple in Rainas Municipality-6 of Lamjung district from Narayangadh in Chitwan district, veered off the highway and plunged about 100 metres into Paundi River, at Sundar Bazaar, at round 5:45 am at present.

“Nobody suffered casualties within the incident because the truck veered off the highway when the driving force, his assistant and two different guide staff travelling on the automobile had received off whereas the driving force was registering the entry on the police publish,” the publish’s in-charge Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Amrit Bahadur Bhujel stated.

The ASI blamed the accident on the negligence on a part of the driving force because the truck was parked on an inclined highway, and with out placing any wheel chock.

In the meantime, the truck driver, Santa Bahadur Baniya has been taken into police custody, ASI Bhujel knowledgeable.

Sundar Bazaar space fairly often witnesses the plunge of autos into both close by Paundi or Marsyangdi rivers sometimes.
