GULMI: Six individuals died whereas two others sustained accidents after the jeep they had been travelling on fell beneath the highway in Isma Rural Municipality of Gulmi district this morning.
The deceased have been recognized as Dambar Bahadur Dhital, 65, Chitra Bahadur Darlami, 33, Pharsuram Thapa, and Dhan Bahadur Achhami of Isma-4, Basanta Darlami, 30, and Sundari Thapa, 80, of Malika Rural Municipality-5, based on the District Police Workplace.
The incident occurred when the jeep (Lu 1 Ja 1166) en path to Tamghas skidded off the highway and plunged some 400 metres beneath, killing 5 on the spot and injuring three, knowledgeable Superintendent of Police (SP) Praveen Lal Shrestha. One of many critically injured was rushed to the hospital however he breathed his final on the best way there.
In the meantime, Saraswoti Darlami, 28, and Kamal Dhitang, 26, of Isma-Four have been injured within the accident and they’re receiving therapy at Gulmi Hospital, police stated.
Police, after the preliminary investigation, suspect that the incident might need been brought on resulting from brake failure.
There have been 10 passengers within the car on the time of the incident.
