Farmers’ demand for wheat seeds not met

BAGMATI, NOVEMBER 26

The Agriculture Inputs Firm Restricted Provincial Workplace in Hetauda has failed to fulfill the demand of farmers for wheat seeds.

The workplace has nevertheless attributed the shortage of space for storing to inventory the seeds as the explanation behind its lack of ability to supply seeds.

The demand for the present season is round 2,500 metric tonnes whereas the workplace has been in a position to present only one,612 metric tonnes, stated workplace Chief Laxman Yadav.

The workplace has been offering seeds to farmers in Makawanpur, Chitwan and Kathmandu beneath Bagmati Province and likewise in Bara, Parsa and Rautahat of Province 2.

Bhrikuti, Bjaya, NL171 and Gautam are the assorted species of wheat seeds supplied by the workplace.

The workplace normally buys seeds from farmers after harvest season and sells after processing within the planting season.
